The building houses local businesses such as Kaibosh, The Formary and Hopper Eco Shop and is also offering a communal space to host workshops, conferences and work with recycled timber.These are some of my completed projects while at Hopper Home: • Produced 3d CAD and physical models to help customer understand what their ideas will look like in reality• Designed and oversaw the installation of a community wood working workshop aimed to produce products from waste wood while creating minimal waste in the process• Collaborated with trades people to design and build the hopper home eco shop fit out• Liaised with fire engineers and trades people to ensure that the building met relevant fire standards

    ACMA Industries was a polyurethane foam manufacturer based in Upper Hutt before it was sold to the China based train manufacturing company KTK transport in 2018. ACMA specialised in the production of flame resistant foam formulations which it produced with a series of semi-automated machinery. Extensive engineering work went into the research and development of custom machinery used to produce the companies unique formulations. These machines utilised the latest ABB robotics combined with pneumatic systems in order to dramatically increase production efficiency and keep the factory running 24/7. Some of my responsibilities as engineering maintenance manager are listed below: • Ensure that all machines within the factory are performing to a high standard.• Determine methods of improving robotic movements to increase productivity and consistency.• Develop superior operation procedures and manage staff for optimal productivity.• Implement and standardise daily, weekly and monthly maintenance procedures.• Produce schematic drawings of machines which include lists of components and suppliers to anticipate any breakdowns.• Create stock take systems ensuring machinery related materials are always available.• Design, fabricate and install instruments that improve the productivity of the factory.• Troubleshoot broken machines using root cause analysis techniques to reduce risk of further breakdowns.
