In 2020 I diversified to take on the challenge of creating an app that would encourage young people to get out and socialise more. Concerned with the mental health and wellbeing of my daughters’ generation, I saw potential in the way urban games utilise existing public spaces to create unlimited new opportunities for play. Collaborating with Antiblanks, I created the KO-CHA! Photo Combat app, an anarchic mobile gaming tool that enables mobile users to wage paintball battles anywhere without being detected.Rope Access climber since 1998, I have over 24,000 logged hours on the ropes. Setting up Line Ryder in 2010, we have enjoyed over a decade working with Wembley Stadium, London Eye, Arcelor Mittal Orbital, Leisure Technical Consultants and most of the large theme parks around the UK. We specialise in solving the toughest technical challenges and make light work of sparse steel structures. Along the way I invented the world’s lightest man-riding system for use on suspension cables, the Roller Strop (which takes the effort out of transiting horizontal tubular structures) and an adjustable lanyard system for inspecting roller coasters quickly. Prior to 1998 I was an Outdoor Adventure Guide in the Outer Hebrides, Wales and my home country: New Zealand.
