I have broad medical interests but special interest in management of complex geriatric patients. Within this population, I most enjoy acute care planning to help patients and families prepare for predictable, but unplanned, medical crises. Additionally, case analysis through use of run charts is a special interest and skill that has proven to be a powerful source of information that was otherwise hidden by tabular presentation of data.HELPcare Clinic is a paradigm of care that strongly emphasizes personal patient goals and preventive health strategies and provides me the opportunity to spend significant time with patients to address multiple lifestyle concerns, many of which are impossible to know in the context of a typical 10-15 minute visit. This model of care is innovative and visionary, largely attributable to Mr. James Hynes, the founder of my previous employer, Pipe Trades Services Minnesota Family Health and Wellness Centers.
