I am a research assistant at the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Research Institute, involved in numerous short and long-term research projects involving the clinical outcomes of orthopaedic procedures. Working as a research assistant has allowed me to learn about and understand the countless aspects of scientific research: from project development & ethics approval, data collection, management & analysis, and the preparation of manuscripts & academic conference presentations. I graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Science (IA Honours), Extended Major in Psychology. Completing a science degree has broadened my perspective, and made it easier to adopt a critical but open-minded viewpoint; an essential trait for all aspects of study and work. My degree has also provided me with numerous research skills in regards to statistical analyses, application of ethics, literature critiques and development of studies.My academic and professional experiences have taught me that both adaptation and utilising the experience and knowledge of others is essential when faced with challenges.
