Hello! I am David! I am a business coach, facilitator and advisor to SMEs currently working in an advisory role for an IP and patent sale and with a small start up. Advising not only on what has to be done also how to do it.I am also a Charity Trustee and a School Governor. Seeking an additional Non-Executive Director role. A senior executive, with my last role being as a Managing Director for a Truck Dealership. £100m turnover, 300 employees, 12 sites in 16000 sq km of geography.Possessing great quality in leading large scale business operations, implementing strategic policies & procedures, and building/leading teams to achieve a shared vision and set of goals. Demonstrated expertise in strategic sales initiatives execution, market penetration, ROI improvements, stakeholder engagement, and property management. Am skilled in ensuring efficient and high quality work and recommending corrective strategies for process improvement. With Volvo Trucks for 19 years and developed over that time through three roles, Commercial Director (2001-2005) to Retail Development Director (2005-2009)and implemented the new Retail Strategy into the UK. Both of these roles were development stepping stones towards the role of Managing Director (2009-2020). Opened two new Depots and and extensive refurbishment in a third. Managed own profit and loss account and also achieved the highest return on sales in a wholly owned Dealership. Having now left Volvo Trucks and I have developed a portfolio career. Securing a role as an advisor for an IP and patent sale and have involvement in a new start up business. In addition I am also a School Governor and a Trustee on the Board of a Charity and have been a volunteer on the Covid19 vaccination programme.Now seeking an additional Non-Executive Director role to complete my portfolio. The skills and experience that has been delivered on has required excellence in communication, leadership and collaboration. In addition to these, expertise in innovation, teamwork and resilience. All bound together through quality strategic development over many years. These are the qualities I will bring to a board. When I am not working I run and hike with my wife and play badminton with a small group of friends.
