After leaving school and completing a landscape trade I travelled to West Australia where I completed 2 seasons cray fishing out of Geraldton and The Abrolhos Islands. From here I travelled overseas for 6 years seeing the world and woking along the way, during my travels I did a season in the Carribean as a deckhand on a 76 Sunseeker Manhattan. On return to Sydney I attended TAFE to complete my Master V and MED 3 courses using the time I had acquired in WA and the Caribbean. From here I worked at a boat dealership - Eagle Yachts at Jones Bay Wharf in Sydney as Service Manager on Bertram Yachts which our company imported from America. My role involved QC sign off of on vessels in Miami prior to leaving the factory, unloading and delivering vessels on arrival in Australia, pre-delivery and overseeing and processing all warranty claims for new owners. After 5 years at Eagle Yachts I moved on to a sales role at Andrew Short Marine, responsible for sales of new SeaRay vessels 36' - 60'.During my time at Andrew Short Marine I noticed a void in the industry - Vessel Management for privately owned vessels 30' - 70'. After speaking with many frustrated boat owners I decided there was a niche not being fulfilled and Sydney Vessel Management was born (2009). For the last 12 years we have assisted boat owners to get the most from their time on the water. From monthly detailing/management packages, driver training, marina berth set up (ropes and fender systems), vessel deliveries, pre - deliveries, skipper service, catering/hostess services we have built up an amazing team of staff and a network of contractors at the top of their respective fields. A recent addition has been SVM brokerage where we pride ourselves on quality listings and ethical brokering.I have been actively involved in the marine industry for the last 20 years and thrive on assisting boat owners in all aspects of boat ownership
