I have been involved in tertiary education since 2005, first as a tutor while studying at Victoria University and Stotts Correspondence education, then later in China (Beijing), Massey University New Zealand, Bryant Zhuhai, China, and more recently at British University Vietnam. Over that time I have taught a wide range of courses including taxation, auditing, financial accounting and management accounting.I have also carved out a niche in research, focusing on taxation, including capital gains tax, tax policy more generally, and tax administration. This remains a project in process as I progressively look to extend my coverage nationally, regionally, and internationally.I am an old 'new' accounting academic forged in the AACSB/EQUIS/"Publish or perish" era who remains cognisant of the fact that academics teach and research as their primary activities and, in that mindset, aim to deliver good quality responsive teaching, while producing a credible trail of research output.My employment experience is mostly international which brings new challenges developing and evolving to the demands of different student cohorts.
