I have worked in the Environmental field for over 16 years. Having studied Environmental Science in Manchester I graduated and started work in Ecology and Research with the Environment Agency. Following the Barton Broad Restoration research project, I moved in to regulatory services where I continued to develop my knowledge and experience. During my time working for Environmental Health I began to specialise in acoustics and air quality management and became the authority’s air quality specialist responsible for all aspects of local air quality management. In early 2013 I moved in to the private sector and became the Principal Environmental Consultant at Mayer Brown, leading a team of multi-disciplinary environmental consultants specialising in environmental noise and air quality assessments. in November 2015 I moved to TRC as an Associate Director, to build and develop the UK Environmental Planning Service. As part of the Senior Management Team I influenced the development of the UK Consultancy Service. I joined Vanguardia in March 2017, to a more focused role with a leading Acoustic Consultancy and introduced Air Quality as a new service. As Associate Director I have joined a well established and highly skilled team of environmental acoustics consultants, to introduce the new Air Quality capability but also help manager the existing service and an integrated business development strategy.I have been a member of several specialist forums such as the Norfolk Environmental Protection Group and chaired the Norfolk Local Air Quality Management Group.I am a Charterd Environmentalist, a Member of the Institute of Environmental Scientists, the Institute Air Quality Managers and the Institute of Acoustics.
