• Joined the Management Liability organization and helped them recover from a failed first attempt to move to microservices. Architecture was not properly designed or implemented. Organization had been unable to deliver a product for two years. I led them to get the first product out in eight months. • Direct a staff of over 40 IT professionals including on-shore and off-shore resources responsible for the development and maintenance of applications. Resources were both co-located and remote. Most on-shore, several teams of off-shore developers leveraged on development project work. • Took a SAFE methodology and broke it down to become more agile leveraging KANBAN to deliver more quickly with higher quality. • Directing the complete redesign and redevelopment of an item banking system. Project has visibility up to the CEO and CTO of Prometric. Assembled distributed global team including consultants with resources to be in St. Paul, Baltimore and India. • Managed the project implementation of product upgrade for external client in a major release of item banking software package. Coordinated internal staff, selected external staff and managed hours and rates against a $3 million budget for implementation. Directed the process, managed and delivered the requirements, use cases, functional specifications and design documentation. Product is currently in production and being used by client. • Responsible for the closure of Salt Lake City regional office. Interviewed existing staff and consultants, determined who to retain and whom to terminate. Transitioned these employees along with a group of consultants to the Prometric St. Paul office. Migrated all systems hardware back to St. Paul as well. Planned the migration off of existing production hardware to new hardware in Baltimore data center. Drove the move of the applications onto the new hardware and the relocation of existing hardware to St. Paul to become new development environment. Put in place corporate standard hardware infrastructure with localized development environment and integration (BIL), QC and production environments in Baltimore. • Managed the new development, support and testing of existing software suite of applications. Software was a complete test delivery suite that managed items, candidates, test administration, scoring and statistics. Software supported a user base of 200 and data and metrics for approximately 50 clients. • Responsible for managing internal staff of seven employees. • Lead architect and project manager for the development of intranet websites for director/executive level. Development of projects with Microsoft Visual Studio. Visual Basic used to develop ActiveX controls accessing SQL Server database for project information. High use of Javascript, VBscript, HTML, XML, ADO, ASP and CSS. Use of Microsoft Transaction Server, COM and COM+ to implement VB components. Also provided security setup and authorizations on sites. • Technical Interface for Java applications developed by 3rd party vendors. Established systems requirements and specifications with vendors, coordinated technical policies, procedures and standards and coordinated testing, installation and verification into corporate environment. Technical setup and configuration via XML of applications after delivery from vendors. • Technical Architect for database workflow solution to Customer Experience Organization (CEO). Managed design, development, and delivery of nightly automated data feeds from database to SAP. Process configured using DTS packages and Visual Basic executables. Process is run automatically twice a day to support the 'one and done' initiative for the CEO. Application used to support call center of 200 employees with over 500 client’s sensitive data. • Performed employee evaluations, salary management, and issue resolution.
