I teach classes in Leadership in Criminal Justice, Critical Issues, Police Administration, Graduate courses in History of Criminal Justice in America and Collective Bargaining.Having been here for 22 years I am one of the Senior Faculty members and one of a few who have been practitioners in Policing in their earlier life. This is the best CRJ program in the nation, notwithstanding similar claims by John Jay and Sam Houston!! I deem it a privilege to teach here but most of all to associate with our great cadre of majors!!!

In addition to my work at CSUS I also serve as a labor consultant to police, fire and miscellaneous labor units throughout California. I negotiate collective bargaining agreements (contracts) and deal with critical issues like medical cost containment, pension reform, and retiree medical.

Served as a Labor Consultant to Public Safety and Miscellaneous Units through out California. I have negotiated over $1,000,000,000 (billion) in wage and retirement benefits for employee associations.

Trenton West is a public policy and opposition research firm. In the 1996 election cycle I flew 60,000 air miles to client sites and professional meetings pertaining to opposition research for California Assembly, Senate, US Congressional & Senate, and Louisiana Supreme Court candidates across the nation.My business partner and I compiled a massive electronic database containing abstracts surrounding the "life" issue, and provided consulting services to pro-life organizations and The Salt and Light Foundation. I sold my interest in Trenton West with my appointment as full time faculty at CSUS.
