Supports the Decisive Action Operations Cell within the Project Management Office. Coordinates with Program Task/Sub-Task leadership to manage contract deliverables. Analyses current/ongoing program processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and efficiency.

- Manage the day-to-day operations of a 30-person, cross-functional team comprised of all-source analysts, law enforcement professionals, and forensic accountants dispersed through nine separate locations, aligning organizational priorities against command priorities, prioritizing and allocating assignments, determining timelines and organizational goals.- Conduct quality control and serve as senior intelligence analyst reviewing and approving targetingpackages, network and patronage charts, reporting summaries, metrics and financial analysis, and other written analytical reports, graphs, figures, and verbal presentations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and relevance.- Advise, mentor, and train analysts on writing, briefing, communication, partner collaboration, and critical thinking to improve overall capability and capacity; ensure all information communicated to internal and external stakeholders identifies critical vulnerabilities, show potential effects, and inform decision makers/commanders.- Identify, refine, validate, and articulate Human Intelligence, Signals Intelligence, Counter Intelligence, and other intelligence and law enforcement requirements to drive collection that supports social network analysis and law enforcement investigations.- Partner with and support counter-intelligence and investigative entities such as Allied Command Counter- Intelligence (ACCI), Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), and the Regional Security Officer’s office of Consular Investigations to identify, investigate, and pursue punitive, judicial, legislative and/or kinetic actions to disrupt criminal patronage networks that support corrupt GIRoA officials.

- Manage the day-to-day operations of a 60-person organization operating from nine geographically separate locations around the Combined Joint Operations Area – Afghanistan (CJOA-A).- Maneuver an operating budget of ~$29 million in order to successfully meet customer requirements while maintaining operational readiness and capability.- Successfully transition from initial operational capability (IOC) to full operational capability (FOC) while guiding the organization through four re-organizations, five directors, and two growth plans to support the strategic direction of the organization.- Maintain an organization-wide attrition rate of less than 10%, retaining ~94% of contract personnel year-to-year (58 of 62 total hires).- Maintain an operating status of no less than 90% of contract personnel on contract at any given time.- Conduct personnel interviews to ensure applicants meet both company and customer standards.- Perform employee counseling when required, implementing two performance improvement plans to both maintain professional and analytical performance standards as well as customer satisfaction.- Meet frequently with stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability of the organization as well as ensure that relationships are maintained and improved.- Evaluate program effectiveness to identify program strengths, weaknesses, areas for improvement, and determine capacity and capability requirements and gaps.- Communicate daily with team members to monitor progress, issue clear guidance and direction, and seek feedback.- Define and implement organizational plans, priorities, investigation activities, and measures of performance to ensure the organization meets the commander’s intent and achieves measurable effects.

After almost 15 years supporting the Special Operations community, I have left the industry to become an entrepreneur. I am now a NRA-licensed pistol instructor and the owner/operator of Springfield Firearms Training Company.Most of the courses I offer are classroom-based learning, providing pistol familiarization, parent/child safety courses, CCW, safety for real estate professionals, women's safety, and individual or small-group lessons.I also offer online courses that mirror some of the current in-person courses. -Fuses intelligence from various disciplines in order to identify, disrupt, and defeat insurgent networks that employ and facilitate the use of IEDs.-Provides direction and coordination to members of a multi-discipline team to leverage various areas of expertise in identifying capabilities and vulnerabilities of targeted enemy organiztions and decipher trends and patterns related to various group activities. -Utilize event-based reporting to identify historical and emerging trends related to enemy operational patterns, areas of interest (for both US forces and insurgent networks), tribal dynamics and their relationship with and influence on insurgent and Coalition operations.-Respond to short and long-term requests for support from SOF units located both in theatre and CONUS in order to provide the war fighter with intelligence products that fill intelligence gaps and assist with current and future operational planning and execution.-Produce intelligence products that cater to both broad, informative requests for information and centralized, focused targeting requirements to support both strategic and tactical levels.-Provide direct support to VSO operations in order to enable unilateral and multilateral operations establishing areas of operation from which Coalition forces can build lasting partnerships with local GIRoA/ANA/ANP forces, local and regional shuras, and other regional task forces in an effort to both degrade insurgent operations and influence, and improve the quality of life for local and regional populations. -Deployed in support of a Joint Inter-Agency Task Force providing strategic analysis focused on the IED threat nexus external to Afghanistan.

I am currently a sub for the JIEDDO (Joint IED Defeat Organization). Specifically, I work for COIC (Counter IED Operations Integration Center) as an all-source lead analyst supporting Special Operations Forces.

-Senior CT analyst focused primarily on Sunni CT threats within Latin America.-Provides operational intelligence products to CONUS and OCONUS-based SOF/IA/IC partners.-Identifies transnational networks operating within and through the Latin America (LATAM) theatre of operations.-Provides direct intelligence support to CT/CD operations.-Assists SOCOM partners with the creation and integration of an IA/IC-populated geo-visualization database.-Identifies emerging IED trends within LATAM, to include identification of cross-COCOM TTP migration.-Conducts routine bilateral subject matter exchanges with foreign partner military SOF forces within LATAM.-Led deployment assessment for intelligence support to Joint Special Operations Task Force.-Deployed in support of a Joint Special Operations Task Force focused on disrupting the flow of foreign terrorist fighters.

I joined the 3rd Ranger Battalion in September, 2003, as a junior intelligence analyst. I was fortunate enough to remain there throughout my military career, progressing to the 3rd Battalion senior analyst. While serving with the Regiment, I participated in seven deployments to both Afghanistan and Iraq, serving in various roles, most notably as Task Force Senior Analyst.

-Manage daily operations of the Battalion Intelligence SectionCreate and implement short and long-term training paths for battalion junior analysts-Develop real-world training scenarios to support battalion training requirements; including fixed and rotary-wing operations, hostage rescue, sensitive site exploitation, battlefield interrogation/tactical questioning, and counter-terrorism operations-Participate as observer & controller for multi-training operations; provide critique for company-size operations -Maintain positive control of section-assigned equipment totaling in excess of $250,000-Manage battalion physical security personnel-Provide oversight for battalion physical security requirements and security clearance requests, ensuring battalion compliance with current DIA and USASOC regulations-Provide semi-annual OPSEC/SAEDA briefs at the Company and Battalion level to insure the unit maintains operational and physical security in accordance with all USASOC regulations.-Assisted in the planning and updating of the Battalion physical security posture. Developed and implemented a plan that included FMV/Electronic Badge Systems/Cipher Lock Code Maintainer/Security Bollards.

Served as a Joint Special Operations Task Force (JSOTF) Analyst and Senior Intelligence Analyst throughout Afghanistan and Iraq through seven combat deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan.-Liaised with various foreign and domestic government representatives and agencies for the purpose of gathering and sharing intelligence-Provided direct intelligence support to various JSOTF elements and other coalition forces by providing: HUMINT and SIGINT target development; sensitive SIGINT and HUMINT collection operations; sensitive SIGINT and HUMINT technical targeting operations; and special operations surveillance operations.-Assisted in the target development and prosecution of several high-priority task force targets, resulting in the capture or death of several hundred insurgents and senior leaders, resulting in periods of significant disruption to insurgent operations.-Assisted HUMINT collectors in the analysis and development of detainee interrogation operations; provided in-depth HUMINT and SIGINT network analysis in order to fully exploit and vett detainee reporting.-Assisted in the development and implementation of a warrant task force. As the SOFA evolved, our Task Force had to evolve with it. This meant providing a warrant for every target we wanted to action. In order to gain these warrants, the HUMINT requirement became an absolute necessity, as it was required by every approving authority that one to two people provide testimony in-person prior to a warrant being issued. -Independently develop Lines of Operation in order to provide the Task Force Commander actionable targets that accurately reflect the current and future enemy situation. Provide target status updates as they develop. Host weekly intelligence fusion meetings with other J2 personnel from different Units/Battle Space Owners/Task Forces in order to synchronize our lines of operations, pass potential targets, and assist in target development.
