About David Crow

I founded DCLRS in 1991 as a full-service government relations practice with expertise in legislative and regulatory affairs. Our talented team helps clients in a number of policy areas including agriculture, climate policy, energy, international, labor and immigration, pesticides and fertilizers, small business, transportation and infrastructure, and water policy.I am also the author of The Pale-Faced Lie, my memoir about living on the Navajo Indian Reservation with a violent father and a mentally ill mother. I am humbled that this very personal memoir has now sold over 170,000 copies and been published in 14 languages to date. Publishers Weekly stated: “This painful memoir . . . delivers a truthful and ultimately empowering missive about the long shadow cast by an abusive parent.”You can learn more about DCLRS and the Pale-Faced Lie in my profile below: feel free to visit my LinkedIn pages for each of them. Both are very meaningful parts of my life and in fact, readers of my book learn how my government relations career began. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from a career representing clients before the federal government and writing The Pale-Faced Lie, it is this: Every person has a story.

My memoir, The Pale-Faced Lie, recounts my experience growing up on a Navajo Indian Reservation with a mentally ill mother and violent father, an ex-con from San Quentin who groomed me to be his partner in crime. It is a story about family, survival, and the healing power of forgiveness.

I founded DCLRS in 1991 as a full-service government relations practice with expertise in legislative and regulatory affairs. Our bipartisan lobbying firm draws upon an extensive network of relationships in Congress and the Administration to educate key lawmakers from both parties about issues affecting our clients’ businesses. These relationships enable our clients to meaningfully engage in the political process. Our staff has a reputation for being knowledgeable and results-oriented and we are experts in the legislative and regulatory processes. We are actively engaged with Capitol Hill, federal agencies, associations, and business group coalitions.People are at the heart of what we do at DCLRS. I am grateful to be a sought-after speaker, giving talks to various businesses and trade organizations around the world. Over the years, I also have mentored over 200 college interns, performed pro bono service for the charitable organization Save the Children, and participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
