• The Vice President (Eastern Canada) will report to the President of Equitas.• Regularly Liaise with Table Officers at Equitas to ensure targets are met and new objectives are identified. • Direct, plan, implement and monitor: advocacy, fundraising, and community awareness activities in Eastern Canada.• Manage a team of Provincial Representatives who work in partnership with other Canadian Veteran organizations and conduct fundraising activities.• Responsible for Eastern Canadian donation results including analysis of operations to evaluate performance of provincial representatives in meeting objectives, areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.• Assess (Monthly) Eastern Canadian performance and ensure appropriate coordination of activities (appropriate mix of advocacy, fundraising, community awareness, and monitoring of the Canadian Veteran situation). • Monitor, assess, and report on the evolving national Canadian Veteran situation to Equitas Table Officers.• Be a visible ambassador for Equitas in Eastern Canada.

As a member of V.E.T.S. Board of Directors, the director “Policy and Communications” will assist V.E.T.S. in creating and implementing strategic organizational plans. The director will devise a comprehensive communications plan that ensures a consistent and strategic approach to internal and external communications activities. Broadly, the director’s activities will include, but are not limited to, the following:• Policy analysis,• Engagement,• Government relations,• Public advocacy, and• Promoting V.E.T.S. at a community level.
