In March of 1997 I was reassigned to the Narcotics Task Force as the Supervisor of Electronic Surveillance and promoted to the Rank of Detective First Grade. A position I held until my retirement. Responsibilities included purchasing and maintaining all of the offices electronic surveillance equipment. A review and issuance of subpoena’s to cellular, computer and public utility companies for all Law enforcement agencies in Passaic County. Initialized and maintained the wiretap server, monitoring stations and evidence for hundreds of local and federal investigations. Service and Maintenance of the office’s countywide Radio communications system and equipment.

In 2010 until 2012, I was also assigned to supervise the Intelligence/Counter Terrorism unit. My responsibilities included supervising the unit’s personnel their various DHS projects, the Secure the Cities initiative and RDT activities and drills.

Additionally in 2003, I was assigned to supervise the Narcotics Evidence unit until 2010. My responsibilities were to oversee the daily operation of the narcotics evidence unit, as well as the annual countywide destruction of weapons and narcotics evidence. I was promoted to Sergeant in 2004

In 2009 until 2014, I was also assigned to supervise the Computer Services unit. My responsibilities included supervision of CSU personnel their Computer related Investigations and Projects, Office wide network systems and office personnel computer software and equipment.

I was reassigned to The Governmental Corruption and White Collar Crime unit. During my tenure there I investigated various types of financial crimes and corruption cases, leading to successful prosecutions. I also began utilizing various electronic surveillance equipment required for our unit’s investigations.

Upon completion of the Academy I was reassigned to the Court Squad and assisted Prosecutors in preparing witnesses and gathering evidence for various criminal Trials.

I was initially assigned to the Narcotics Task Force until I went to the Academy, as a member of the Task Force I participated in and was an affiant on search warrants while also working in an undercover capacity.
