I am currently a Teaching Fellow and Module Convener for Mathematics and Statistics on the Warwick International Foundation Programme.

I taught several different mathematics courses including: AS/A-level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, International Foundation Programmes, GCSE Mathematics and Functional-Skills Mathematics.

Planned and developed a range of activities for disadvantaged students from local schools in years 10, 11 and 12.Quickly built a good rapport with the students which helped promote an environment where the students felt at ease and could successfully engage in the activities.

Responsible for the organisation of the examination venue, distribution and collection of examination scripts, and ensuring students remain under examination conditions at all times.This role requires excellent organisation skills, the ability to work with and communicate with different people each day, and being able to deal with unexpected events as efficiently as possible.

Mentoring a group of approximately 20 first and final year undergraduates.Provide pastoral support to a small group of undergraduate and postgraduate students.Organise a range of social events for the entire group, as well as one-to-one meetings to discuss any confidential issues.Provide guidance for developing transferable skills, applying for internships and creating personal development plans (PDP) to enhance their career prospects.

Within my research project I investigate the optical deformation of emulsion droplets. My role within the research collaboration is the mathematical modelling of these deformations in order to fully understand the physics involved in these deformations.

Plan and prepare tutorials for a range of modules including: Linear Algebra, Calculus, Mathematical Biology and Mathematical Tools for Chemists.Use a range of interactive teaching methods and group work to enhance the students' learning e.g. students working in small groups on whiteboards around the room.Responsible for the assessment and feedback of students written assignments on a weekly basis.Provided a number of one-to-one sessions for students to ask for additional help in order for them to fully understand a specific topic.Started using a virtual learning environment where students can post multiple choice questions and attempt questions set by others, using PeerWise.Continuously evaluate and reflect on my teaching in order to enhance my teaching style and material.Have received very positive feedback from students via the module evaluation questionnaires.
