Combining a 14 year career within the British trade union movement with a decade as an independent consultant working throughout Europe with both unions and private sector has provided me with a relatively unique and profound understanding of employment relations across the UK and beyond. For the past 12 years I have engaged with companies and their workforce to provide an independent impact analysis of proposed business restructuring and carried out general economic and social impact assessments of large scale change in the workplace. Areas of expertise: industrial policy (incl. public procurement); energy and renewables; collective bargaining; workforce development; financial analyses; macroeconomics; regional economic analyses; national and transnational information and consultation; corporate restructuring (M&A, spin-offs …); vocational education and training.
