After many years as an insurance professional, with many years of experience of leading/managing teams in most of the disciplines within the general insurance marketplace, David is now using his skills to support the Charitable sector. He still remains clear that it is not what you say you have done in the past, it is what you actually do and the way that you do it that is the true measure of a person's standing.Hence respect has to be earned not given. So whilst he has successfully managed different business operations through considerable change, whilst developing the talents of his colleagues so that they could fulfill their own potential, you won't find him blowing his own trumpet with over the top statements of his own abilities.He rarely asks his colleagues to do something that he is not prepared to do himself, or at least have some appreciation of what is involved in carrying that task out. In addition to the "day job" he has been President of the Mid Kent Insurance Institute, as well as being its Secretary and Council Member of the Cheltenham Insurance Institute. Earlier in his working life he was the ABI's representative for North Kent.and as part of this was the Insurance Industry's representative on the Gravesham Crime Prevention Panel. 2006 - 2011 saw him be a Governor at St John's CP School - Maidstone, with specific responsibility for ICT and Personnel and along the way he has been a PCC member.
