About David Tavernor

I have started a Black Soldier Fly insect farm and have aspirations to be a leader to the emerging market of alternative proteins, bioconversion and the by-products of insects. Passionate for sustainable innovation in the food chain, I am driven by curiosity to be part of the change. The way that we produce food for a growing global population is land, water and resource intense and is not sustainable. My knowledge of the world class operators in the food chain from producer all the way to the end consumer gives me the foundation to launch my mission, to fix the food system.
