- Responsible for cancer data across the Trust

I manage the data management department at Barts Cancer Institute. My role is two-fold. First, I’m responsible for the day to day activities of the department and the line management of its staff. Second, I’m project managing the redevelopment of the Institute's key data management system. I'm using PRINCE2 methodology with an Agile approach to the software developement.

- Worked for a health policy development unit, developing strategies to better use hospital data in the evaluation of UK health policy: http://www.piru.ac.uk- Designed and and developed various websites and database systems

- Worked with the World Health Organisation to develop vaccination strategies against rotavirus infections in children worldwide. - Served as Data manager on clincial trials and research studies. Redesign of database management systems and workflow. - Designed and developered numerous other websites and database systems

- Senior developer on an international project working between London and Berlin, focused on improving the practice of science across Europe.- Business analysis exercise covering mainland Europe to gather info on the practice of science - Subsequent development of web/database system to improve workflow and improve access to information.

- Extensive experience of database design, construction and administration. - Personally designed and developed Kew's Living Collection system, a client/server application which manages Kew's entire current and historical plant collection.- Worked on numerous other web and database building projects in varied technologies.

- Graduate training position with intensive training in VB6 and database technologies. - Worked on the design and development of a new finance package for the company.
