About David Teachout, M.S., M.A.

Community, flexibility and mobility are central to my personal and professional life. I am constantly engaged in the pursuit of building connections in new ways and strengthening ones already established. This pursuit is structured around being flexible to new challenges, including varying perspectives, and being mobile so I'm not limited to a single physical space to meet those same challenges. That flexibility of community engagement is how I have also related to ideological development, believing as I do that only in actively engaging with life can I best serve others and myself. The journey has left me with an ability to see many sides to a situation, organize those disparate perspectives and create solutions to complex problems. Working with people suffering from mental health problems, both children and adults, and creating solutions to help them actively engage in their personal care, is a constant source of stretching my boundaries and living compassionately. This educational and personal development background, combined with working in many environments, has instilled in me an adaptability for change and new situations, as well as establish an immediate understanding of new procedures, client needs and the interpersonal dynamics of social connections, from the professional to the personal.
