I was born in Marietta, GA, in 1986 and moved to northern Virginia at a young age. Driven by a natural curiosity and a passion for problem-solving, I was encouraged by my mom to fix and repair anything I could, using my brain to troubleshoot challenges.My tech journey began during my teen years, when my family brought home old, decommissioned computers for me to learn and explore. I would combine parts from multiple computers to build one or two functional machines. One of these became my gaming computer, and the other was transformed into a Counter-Strike server for my friends.Through these early projects, I gained invaluable experience with operating systems like Linux, Unix, FreeBSD, and Windows, as well as basic networking skills that allowed external access to my network.In June 2006, I joined the US Army as an Infantryman and quickly became known as the platoon's "IT guy." I assisted with communications deployment, ground operations, and troubleshooting local network and computer issues. One memorable experience involved repairing a Linux-based GPS device with corrupted boot files, enabling our team to complete a time-sensitive mission successfully.After my military service, I transitioned to the civilian tech world, leveraging my skills and experiences as a Data Center Technician at Equinix. In this role, I use my diverse technical background to resolve customer issues and optimize data center operations.To further my education, I utilized my GI Bill to earn a Certified Ethical Hacker certification. I continue to enhance my skills through platforms like Hack The Box, TryHackMe, and Vulnhub, constantly practicing and researching to stay at the forefront of technology.I am a problem solver, an experience gatherer, and a lifelong learner, always eager to tackle new challenges and expand my expertise.
