Directed and coordinated the logistical support of the Division, consisting of equipment and assets in excess of $90 million.Developed and operated the Sustainment Operations Center (SOC), a command and control node for maintenance, logistics and sustainment functions which utilized IT applications linked to global networks.

Personally selected by the 16th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace, to coordinate and integrate the staff efforts of the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the principal military advisor to the President of the United States. Planned, synchronized, and accompanied the Chairman during trips to 18 different countries on five different continents to participate in high level discussions with military and political leaders.

Senior executive responsible for formulating courses of action for consideration by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Secretary of Defense with regard to contingencies of forces assigned to Headquarters, United States European Command (EUCOM): During the Darfur crisis in Sudan, coordinated with the Department of State to craft an order that directed EUCOM to support the African Union with airlift of troops to the Sudan.

Commanded the U.S. Army's only Armored Cavalry Regiment and deployed it to Iraq for a year of combat and stability operations. Responsible for the training, operations, and sustainment of a Regimental Combat Team consisting of 17 separate organizations, over 8,000 Soldiers, 2,000 tracked/wheeled combat and support vehicles, 70 rotary wing aircraft, and a budget of over $100 million.Rebuilt much of the infrastructure and established an Iraqi Civil Defense Corps and an effective border police program in the Iraqi western province of Al Anbar. Established the first Al Anbar Provincial Council, which represented the first self-governing council the people of Al Anbar had experienced in over three decades.
