In deze onderzoeksstage assisteer ik professor Ingrid Robeyns bij haar politiek-filosofisch onderzoeksproject Visions for the Future, waarbij een methodologie ontwikkeld wordt om verschillende sociaal-economische toekomstvisies als een basinkomen of degrowth te evalueren en met elkaar te kunnen vergelijken. Naast het helpen met het bredere onderzoek, werkte ik binnen dit project ook aan een eigen subonderzoek naar het nut van het inzetten van een methode uit de bio-ethiek (principlism) in de politieke filosofie.

BijlesConnect is een online platform waarop ouders en bijlesdocenten direct met elkaar in contact kunnen komen zonder tussenkomst van een bijlesbureau. Ik heb BijlesConnect opgericht met een vriend die zich vooral bezighoudt met de technische kant van de website, terwijl ik met name verantwoordelijk ben voor de organisatorische kant en de bedrijfsvoering van BijlesConnect.

Significant Public is een onderzoeksbureau dat ingehuurd wordt voor beleidsvraagstukken bij ministeries, gemeenten en andere overheidsdiensten. In mijn rol als adviseur/onderzoeker heb ik met name gewerkt op het thema werk en inkomen, maar heb ik ook gewerkt aan projecten rondom zorg, maatschappelijke ondersteuning en de inburgering van statushouders.

Uni-Life is a startup that offers students a mobile platform that shows them what events are organized for students in their city and that allows them to meet up with students with similar interests. As Brand Ambassador for the app in Leiden, I am responsible for setting up campaigns for promoting the app to students and for managing contacts with Leiden University and all associations that are organizing events in Leiden or The Hague.

After being elected in the Faculty Council for the student party LVS, it was my job to represent the 5000 students of the law faculty in the decision making on the education policy of the faculty. In this position, I was elected by the other councilmen as vice-chairman of the council.

After being elected as councilman for the sector FNV Jong, it was my job to represent the interests of my constituents within the largest Dutch trade union and to help, advise and check the board of our sector with its decision making and campaigns, which included campaigns against the student loan system and against a separate minimum wage for young people.

As board member for policy and campaigning for the student party LVS, I was responsible for supporting the different council members of LVS within the university, for the writing of our party program and for the campaign for the student elections of 2020, where our party secured a big victory.
