I am currently working as a full-time medical officer in one of the most popular, largest, and pioneer tertiary neurological centers in Nepal. I attend to and admit neurological patients from A & E, and look after them in Neurosurgical ICU as well as in the general ward. I also attend morning conferences and rounds regularly. In addition, I am involved in a descriptive cross-sectional study of intra-cranial hemorrhage patients presenting in A & E, as a principal investigator in the hospital research team.

I attended international patients from all around the world who were air evacuated particularly from mountain expeditions and trekking (since it is a mountainous nation with the tallest peaks in the world including Mt. Everest) following high altitude sickness, injuries, and other associated poor health conditions as well as A&E patients.

Worked as a frontliner in a 200+ bedded COVID-19 Isolation Hospital set up by the Government of Nepal to treat the RT-PCR positive SARS-CoV-2 patients during the most devastating second wave of the pandemic when the country faced scarcity of hospital beds and oxygen supply with the daily surge in cases and mortality rising each day.

Worked in the department of Internal Medicine for 6 months where I attended to patients with acute medical conditions like MI, Acute pancreatitis, Upper GI Bleeding, Pulmonary embolism, COPD Exacerbation as well as chronic conditions like HTN, DM, Chronic Liver Disease, Interstitial Lung Disease, Heart Failure. And then I worked in the Neurosurgery department for over 1 and a half years. It included attending neurological patients in the A&E, diagnosing and treating them with emergency medical management then admitting them either to Neuro-Intensive Care Unit/ High Dependency Unit/ General Ward or preparing them for emergency surgery with relevant counseling. In addition, I helped my consultants in the outpatient department to attend to patients while the team was in the operation theatre.
