About David Themens

My interests are in space physics and remote sensing. My work involves developing synergistic techniques for profiling the ionosphere using ionosonde and GPS systems, as well as implementing full-physics and empirical assimilation frameworks to model the Auroral Oval and Polar Cap ionosphere.I have also worked with tropospheric remote sensing, focusing on the development of ground-based, passive remote sensing instruments for 3D profiling of tropospheric water vapour and temperature.
