I currently work as the TM1 Superintendent within our operations department at Irving Tissuen Operations Team Leader at Irving Tissue SJ. My goal at the end of each day is to help lead my team in producing quality products, exceed production targets and most importantly, making sure everyone goes home safe. I enjoy leading and building high-performing teams and am always looking to bring out the best in everyone that works with me. I have found that by creating a sense of ownership and pride in their work, employees will work effectively as a team and always look for different process improvements to help drive the business forward.With a background in Chemical Engineering, I enjoy applying my knowledge in heat transfer and thermodynamics to always look for process improvements to lower our utility costs. While at Irving Tissue I have made changes which have reduced our steam utilities significantly while maintaining production. I have also developed our energy dashboard, which tracks all of our mill's utilities and compares them to daily and period budgets.Within my time at Irving Tissue I have completed a Green Belt through the Six-Sigma Lean program. On a daily basis I will incorporate different statistical tools to track down route cause problems as well as I identify potential process related improvements.I thoroughly enjoy working in the Pulp and Paper Industry and playing a key role in producing products that are used in households aroundthe world.
