Works comprised of extensive trial holes and boreholes in a variety of difficult locations around the footprint of the A465. Precise planning of the works was required to ensure the successful completion of the GI and survey works due to the large number of services, caves and areas of scientific and historical interest as well as varying geology and weather issues due to the location of the scheme. Managing the construction of a cable culvert beneath a live platform. Responsible for writing three weekly programmes in line with overall project programme. Writing updating and reporting on three-week programme. Raising RFI’s / Technical Queries to keep track of changes to the design along with delays to the programme and the relevant cost implications attached to these changes. Responsible for all works on Platform 1 including tunnelling, platform support systems, reinforced concrete structures, installation of structural steelwork, installation of access hatches and complete reinstatement of the platform. Extensive experience of the use of structures specifications. Raising quality control documentation to ensure that works are carried out as per the specifications and recorded accurately for future analysis by the client. Creating Design Briefs using accurate information and liaising with the Temporary Works department to produce temporary works drawings; inspecting of temporary works on site to ensure they are correctly installed. Writing lean and effective ITP’s in line with company IBP procedures.

Site Engineer responsible for the successful completion of Station Road and Nant Celyn Roundabout section of the project and overall responsibility for the installation of the drainage for Nant Celyn Roundabout. Responsible for planning, setting out and keeping records for section of works. Writing Risk Assessments and Permits to work and ensuring all works were carried out correctly and adhered to relevant safety legislation. Weekly programming of work activities including organisation of resources as well as sequencing planned works. Experience of Highways specifications for carriageway construction, drainage construction and earthworks.

Design placement assisting on several key water projects including the drainage of the Church Village Bypass. Responsible for reading and analysing rainfall data to monitor areas at risk of flooding. Reporting on the problem areas associated with the drainage, reviewing the results of surveys carried out on drainage systems and organising subcontractors to remedy the problems.
