Two Quality Assurance StudiesLeap Analytics Jan 2016 - Dec 2016Waco, Texas AreaI detail emotional and cognitive states through Automated Written Evaluation. I do so on multiple platforms, including R, SAS and Python. Most importantly, I do so toward documenting meaningful shifts in desired behavior, like domain mastery and developing empathy for others. Examining the New Class details a survey of entering freshmen and their sense of belonging. In particular, I show how awareness of time predicts less social awareness.In Memorium shows how a complex cognitive and emotional literary genre can be used to indicate shifts in worldview. Mastery of that rhetoric is tantamount to information workers' fluency and literacy. This study in particular highlights the decision-making capacity revealed by similarity scoring.
