Working as a Crane Engineer Lead since 2001, I am responsible for engineering support for any problem that may arise on any of SWFLANT's 74 bridge/mobile cranes and 19 capstans. I also provide assignment to a group of four engineers to cover various day to day projects and other problems that may arise. Responsible for maintaining an ON-CALL list to provide 24/7 support for crane problems. This would encompass troubleshooting any electrical or mechanical failure that may arise and interfacing with other agencies to resolve these problems. Other duties include: procedure writing and review, and ensuring that these procedures include all government and industry standard requirements; project development and review including pricing with a Statement of Work; crane modification projects including building power interface, crane controls, crane air conditioning, mechanical ability, and other new development/modernization projects. Supporting as the main contact point with the Navy Crane Center (NCC) regarding all SWFLANT Crane Aspects. Emailing all Alt Approval Request, WHEDRS, and RCDRs to the NCC.

System Test Engineer for supporting the installation of various instrumentation on the D5 X program during flat pad testing at the Eastern Test Range (Now known as ER). The program migrated to the PEM acceptance program. Duties were to assign 4 to 8 hourly technicians job duties of various sensors installation for each day. I had to plan how many technicians were needed and the time it would take then to perform their job. I had to also monitor their performance during the day to assure they stayed busy. Finally I had to test the installed sensors for proper functionality. Alternating test flights of the X Program, required me to be on station to monitor flight status of these sensors. Skills utilized: Vibration, thermocouples, stain gages, pressure transducers, accelerometers are some of the instrumentation I was testing on the D5.

Develop the launch system for a private launch company. Including cost estimates, timeline estimates, and risk assessment. Skills: Provide research and all drawings needed for launch pad development and installation for a new company. Also supported the development of a new family of expendable launch vehicles. Various other duties in the creation of this company.

Testing of wiring harness of payload to shuttle interface in preparation for launch. Duties were to assign hourly technicians job duties for the day of electrical mods to perform. I had to plan how many technicians were needed and the time it would take then to perform their job. I had to also monitor their performance during the day to assure they stayed busy. I had to help support the design and oversee the construction of the ESA 60 Spin Facility at the CCAFS. Skills: Systems testing for shuttle payload wiring prior to launch. Electrical troubleshooting, Wiring Requirements, Facility HVAC and power requirements, NEC requirements. Intergraph CAD drawing skills.

Planning and daily operation of military scientific satellites. This work involved power resource planning for these satellites, spacecraft commanding, spacecraft receiving, troubleshooting, and research programs.
