Responsibilities: My role as Deputy Director involved the day to day management of the language school with a staff of over 100 teachers, administrators and a client base (students) of up to a 1000 participants at anyone time. This role further showcased and developed my leadership skills. It required me to foster collaborative relationships across the business and drive a culture of continuous improvement. To achieve this, I successfully transitioned my peer- relationships into manager relationship, which was possible due to my deep subject expertise knowledge and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: The Cambridge CELTA course is the most widely recognised ELT training qualification worldwide. A CELTA trainers’ role at the school is to train new teachers in techniques and methodology for English language teaching. I have over 10 years of CELTA training experience and managing the team. This involves: interviewing candidates; developing new material to meet latest developments in ELT; delivering input and conducting teaching practice sessions; mentoring of trainees; and managing the administration and of course enrolment and set up. Key Achievements:• Deep expertise in CELTA, which allows mentoring and training of new CETLA trainers. • Keeping up to date with teaching trends and implementing them into the CELTA curriculum.• Managing the CELTA team.• Effectively organising schedules, staffing, observations and course development.

Responsibilities: The Study Success centre of REW provides additional academic support to students by running a variety of services to help students improve their skill level. They key performance metric of the centre is to increase student articulation rates, leading to increased university entrance numbers. As the Study Success Manager, my role was to effectively deliver strategic services within budget, that met this performance metric. I managed a team of six administration and teaching staff to provide appropriate 1-1 support for students; students’ workshops; the design and development of online for self-study, curated social media resources to increase student engagement; and worked closely with REW teachers to ensure both student and educators needs were met. Key Achievements:• Implemented a service delivery strategy that targeted high risk Study Success students. This resulted in an overall increase in average articulation rates at the centre. This targeted strategy proved to be very effective, and when compared to other REW cohorts, showed an increased articulation rate higher than the standard. • Managing and supporting a small support team.• Building strong relationships with educators across REW as well as other key business units of RMIT Training. • Encouraging a personal approach to student’s needs with individualised and targeted level specific support.

Responsibilities: The role is to maintain teaching standards at the school. Responsibilities: REW is one of the leading providers of English language education in Australia and is a direct entry provider for RMIT University. As a Senior Language educator, I support and deliver training, assessment and TESOL teaching to onshore and offshore students. To do this effectively, and in addition to my teaching workload, I am involved in: maintaining and updating in-house curriculum; ensuring that the direct entry requirements of the university are met by adhering to the REW assessment and testing systems; and leading professional development, teaching and staff development initiatives. More recently, this has included a transition to blended and online teaching delivery.
