Responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation and performance of the shift; provide leadership and guidance to crew members while promoting employee involvement and participation in problem solving and continuous improvement. Primary responsibilities of managing the Safety, Quality and Performance of the Converting assets, as well as, managing production flow through the system; additional responsibilities include oversight and direction for all Converting employees on shift, assist in monitoring and managing inventories, participate in leading plans to improve capabilities and yield and actively collaborate with other Supervisory personnel to resolve reliability and operational issues.

Monitor the transportation budget to ensure funds are properly utilized and implement organizational objectives as dictated by management. Daily tasks include supervising employee performance, allocating driver assignments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining all vehicles in top working order. Manage databases that detail transport activities, financial accountings, and employee schedules and personnel records. Train office staff in department policies and procedures; sharing information about new laws and/or technological advances. Serve as a point of contact for customers, building relationships and addressing complaints.
