I am a Chartered Occupational Hygienist, since becoming a hygienist in 2010 I have worked as a consultant and as an in-house hygienist supporting organisations to ensure they promote and improve the health of workers. I am currently working as an Specialist Occupational Hygiene Inspector for Her Majesty’s Health and Safety Executive in Great Britain. Providing specialist support to other inspectors on Occupational Hygiene topics as well as working to develop new initiatives to drive worker health improvement across Great Britain.During my career I have earnt awards for both performance in exams (Ted King & David Hickish Awards) as well as most recently winning the Peter Isaac award alongside my colleague Marian Molloy, which was awarded for our work on ventilation during the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic.
