Highly regarded as a CEO and Company Director for over 30 years, David is a qualified Architect, and has lead major projects in hospitality, health, workplace, retail, civic and master planning. He is recognised for his project establishment skills, particularly in strategic planning, team organisation and consultant leadership. He is also a skilled communicator with extensive networks and experience across Australia, Asia, US, UAE and the UK. David was the founding Managing Director of the Woods Bagot Sydney Studio, following which he was appointed CEO and Group Managing Director from 1990 to 2007, and Executive Director from 2008 to 2011. Privately held, the company now has more than 800 staff working in 14 studios globally. After his pivotal leadership role in developing one of the world's largest and most successful architecture practices, David shifted his focus to specialist Executive Architect business Ridley. Ridley is a delivery and technology driven practice seeking to revolutionise the traditional models of architectural delivery. David stepped down as Executive Chairman at Ridley in September 2017. Ridley has since changed its business name to WILLOW.David continues to consult in business and strategic planning to a range of creative companies.
