At Woods Bagot, David’s major achievement has been leadership of the Directors, Principals and Staff to achieve the firm’s vision to be a leading global design practice.David was instrumental in the appointment of two of Australia’s leading non-executive directors, Andrew Holsman and Helen Lynch, to their respective terms as Chairman of the Board of Woods Bagot, where they provided governance expertise as the firm grew. He led the establishment of the initial and subsequently successful shareholding structures, enabling the evolution of the Global Design Studio.David instigated and led the development of strategic review and planning processes to develop the blueprint which was to guide the firm’s professional and geographic growth over three decades. Under his leadership, revenue increased from $6.5m per annum to $100m. From 2008 to 2011, revenue doubled and profit tripled. David twice led the process of re-branding the firm to better position its expertise as a global entity.
