Directed activities of GCB Performance Management team leading, facilitating, and partnering with businesses globally to drive strategic, transformational, and performance improvement initiatives. Created and oversaw Management Scorecard and Investments programs and provided insightful analysis of financial and business performance results used in making recommendations to GCB senior management. Developed and managed “best in class” programs and processes across GCB which became company standard including Global Management Scorecard and Must Win Battle programs used in performance review process of senior leadership team executives. Designed Bonus Pool Evaluation Methodology process and established Bonus Pool Allocation Model to equitably determine bonus funding levels across businesses globally including a Risk and Control Assessment Framework for evaluating achievement of key quantitative and qualitative Risk and Control objectives.  Created and led Global Investment Optimization Program used by GCB Investment Committee to determine allocation of annual investment spending pool across key strategic priority areas including quarterly evaluation of investment performance results. Built Strategic Scenarios and Country Assessment Dashboards to evaluate business options, leading to recommendation and approval by Citi BOD of ‘Focused Global Bank” strategy that allowed GCB to retain almost all revenues and all EBIT, while exiting 11 markets, simplifying business model and concentrating footprint in 24 markets.

Led team with global responsibilities for providing thought-provoking analysis of business performance results. Developed, measured, and managed global business performance metrics and supported overall business information needs of RCB Global Consumer Banking Council and Consumer Operating Committee. Designed, launched, and administered global KPI Dashboards for key business initiatives including: Cards/Retail Banking Cross-Marketing, Citi at Work, and Affluent/Emerging Affluent/ Mass Market Customer Segmentation. Performed strategic analysis on competition and market sizing, branch distribution, business model design, customer movement (new/attrition), relationship depth, product penetration, and business turnarounds leading to organizational structure redesign to prioritize critical business focus.

Served as Reengineering Team senior subject matter expert charged with addressing strategic challenges across businesses during financial industry crisis. Undertook detailed analysis of business metrics and financial performance to identify critical business issues to be addressed through multi-faceted reengineering programs/initiatives designed specifically to increase revenues, reduce costs, manage credit losses, and restructure businesses to improve profitability. Delivered programs with multi $Bs in reengineering benefits and operational improvements in 2008-2010 .  Reviewed lending businesses and advised on business model optimization opportunities including formulating restructuring actions, undertaking risk mitigation actions, and determining exit strategies for impaired legacy assets, ultimately leading to determination of the businesses that were moved to a new Citi Holdings legal vehicle

Headed Finance function across 12 countries, with over $10B in outstandings. Role expanded into broader COO position principally responsible for spearheading numerous special projects and strategic initiatives across the region. Restructured UK business and developed near-prime “go-to” loans strategy for the combined Citi / Egg businesses.  Led Special Projects Team, determining strategic options for legacy CitiFinancial UK branch-based business. As Citi Switzerland Private Bank Investment Center Head, my position continuously expanded to include not only full general management responsibility for the Swiss private banking activities, but also direct responsibility for the Swiss Operations Center and the EMEA Technology Centers in Zurich and London. With hundreds of staff and thousands of private bank clients from around the world, Citibank (Switzerland) was at the time the largest non-US part of the Citigroup Private Bank, representing 15-20% of its global activities.
