My customer service and food industry roots extend back as far as 1975, beginning as a courtesy clerk for Hughes Market and consistently earning promotions until growing into management as a department head overseeing up to 12 employees. I continued along in my grocery career for 28 years, retiring from How’s Market in Malibu in 2001 to pursue my own business, and true calling, A Malibu Soiree, which delivers the art of mixology to the local community and beyond by providing full-scale bartending services to any and all private events, no matter how large or small. Throughout my 13 years in Malibu, while building my business, my endeavors have included bartending and providing VIP relief to the performers and celebrity clientele at venues such as Area (SBE) in Beverly Hills, The Canyon Club, and The Malibu Inn. Also during this time, I amplified my culinary knowledge and service expertise by working film industry crafts service for Reel Craft Service and catering large private parties and galas while employed by RSVP Catering, where my duties ranged from food preparation to food service and event staff in addition to offering complete bartending service.Also a familiar fixture at Coral Beach Cantina in Malibu for six years, I have been the smiling face behind the bar. Behind the scenes, I have been upholding 80-90% leadership in bar sales all the while being responsible for maintaining inventory and efficiently estimating product needs to ensure cost effectiveness and profitability.I aspire to assume larger responsibilities by utilizing my management skills in a fine dining establishment, where I could be enriched by a more challenging, upscale environment. Overall, I pride myself in utmost professionalism and my solid reputation and simply seek to render quality service for a unique and satisfying experience to all clientele, in any atmosphere.
