Current● Analysing production data in a fast paced manufacturing environment, identifying areas for improvement, identifying areas where we’re missing data, and leading projects to implement solutions, following Lean Six Sigma methodologies.● Designing, procuring, and validating tools and fixtures in Autodesk Inventor for both existing parts and NPI, working with vendors to find the best and most cost effective solutions.● Adjusting G-code to improve cycle times, creating new G-code programs for NPI, and troubleshooting production issues on the CNC rotary transfer machines, CNC lathe, and Fanuc robots, often through re-teaching the robot using Fanuc Teach Pendant.● Creating SOP documents for manufacturing processes across the site, training users from the documents where necessary.● Providing day-to-day support to manufacturing operations and troubleshooting problems using SPS and 8D methodology.● Helping with the installation of a $2 million dollar rotary transfer machine that is now consistently 50% more productive than the next latest machine on-site. This included defining the required technical specifications as part of the RFQ, working with the vendor to ensure they can fulfil the technical requirements, and troubleshooting issues when they arise during the acceptance tests. ● Part of the NPI team working within a defined framework, contributing to the launch of new products within the business, using DFMA, PFMEA, PPAP and control plans, ensuring the site hits CI savings for NPI introduction.● Leading the Management of Change activities by keeping track of peoples’ actions, organising Management of Change documents, and holding meetings with the leadership team to manage & discuss changes to both UK sites.
