I’ve was an IP Engineer at Mediacom for nearly 11 years. I’ve been involved in multiple large scale deployments of various types of networks ranging from pure Cisco gear running EIGRP+BGP to a widely Vendor Diverse network running OSPF + BGP and most recently MPLS with TE. Early in my Career I was heavily involved in Mediacom’s remote office connectivity migrating from PIX hardware to ASA hardware, and most recently working with Palo Alto Firewalls. Most of my time in the past few years had dealt with managing Mediacom’s High Speed Data network requiring creating and modifying RPL’s to adjust traffic flows based on management’s discretion. Being multi-vendor, this adds the challenge of performing the same logic, but utilizing different syntax’s to accomplish the same goal. While my strength is in routing and switching, I am familiar with various optical (SONET/DWDM/CWDM) platforms including Nortel/Ciena and Huawei platforms.
