Class 1 & 2 LGV Driver doing multi drop deliveries.During my time with Gist I become a Driver trainer(TWI), LGV Driving instructor & Driving Assessor, towards the end of my time With this company I became increasingly office based, with an increased focus on the recruitment and Assessment of new drivers, maintenance of training records, Maintenance of Driver risk profile, planning CPC attendance and maintaining CPC training records for over 100 drivers.The company ran what was called a "warehouse to Wheels" program, which in which I was involved as one of three Driving instructors taking complete novices with no LGV experience and teaching them the skills required to pass both their Class 2 and Class1 LGV driving tests. During my time with Gist I was involved with a program to improve safety within the company a small working group was set up and after due process the suggestions and improvements that we put forward were subsequently approved and rolled out company wide.
