Duties and responsibilities included: Ensuring research process remained robust and that sector coverage was maintained at an optimal level; Oversight of management reporting; Oversight of all operational aspects of the regional desks/teams and the Head of Quantitative and Risk Monitoring; Ensuring procedures were maintained and followed and risks managed.

Headed the Long only analyst team (12 analysts). David joined Hambros in 1979 initially working within the Portfolio Management - Funds Administration Department. In 1984 David joined the Investment Department of Hambros Bank & Trust (Guernsey) Limited and subsequently became Head of Custodial Settlements. In 1997 when Societe Generale acquired Hambros David joined the Portfolio Management Department becoming a Manager with responsibility for running client money and for preferred funds selection for the SG Hambros Entities. In 2002 David was a founding member of the Funds Research Department with responsibility for selecting long only funds for the Societe Generale Private Banking Network. Fund Solutions is the centre of expertise specialising in selecting best of breed long only funds, hedge funds and private equity funds.
