Dave Sousa formed Blackledge Consultants, LLC in April of 2021 to provide urban planning and transportation planning services. He is a nationally certified urban planner and a licensed Landscape Architect based in Connecticut, USA. He is a disciple of Sustainable Transportation, Smart Growth and Walkable Urbanism, and has focused his career on creating more livable, sustainable, functional and attractive communities. Blackledge Consultants, LLC specializes in the integration of transportation and land use including Complete Streets, Green Infrastructure, and Transit Oriented Development (TOD). His recent work includes TOD planning in Stamford, Norwalk, New Haven and Meriden, CT, transportation master planning for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation, the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and the Western Region of Abu Dhabi Emirate, U.A.E., and numerous bicycle and Complete Streets studies and plans for cities throughout the eastern U.S. Mr. Sousa earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a licensed landscape architect and a certified urban planner. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Main Street Center and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the American Planning Association and the American Public Transportation Association.
