While the district's main focus is the financial, legal and business services sector, these sterling names are attracting an increasing number of companies from other sectors to Zuidas.A great place to liveZuidas provides an excellent residential environment, with ample hotel and leisure facilities. With between 8,000 and 9,000 homes by 2040, Zuidas will soon be Amsterdam's second most prominent housing location. Zuidas under developmentZuidas continues to get bigger and better. The district has a total capacity of up to 4.2 million m2 of real estate, including existing properties and those that are under construction or in the pipeline. Favela Painting is an community art project by artists Dre Urhahn and Jeroen Koolhaas. In collaboration with local communities, they transform neighborhoods by cocreating enormous art pieces, using neighborhoods as their canvas. Larger than life in every respect, these artists combine beauty, community and human spirit to proudly put places on the map that might previously have been considered a challenged area.The Favela Painting foundation supports, manages and structures the efforts of Haas & Hahn to further leverage the magic their work can bring to the world.

The Expatcenter provides a one-stop-shop service for international companies and their highly skilled migrant employees. The Expatcenter is a joint initiative of the cities of Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Almere, Diemen, Haarlem, Hilversum, Haarlemmermeer and Velsen, along with the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) and the Tax Office.
