Afotec Det 1 F-35 Ot Superintedent
I served as the Detachment Superintendent, First Sergeant and the AFOTEC F-35 Training Systems Lead and this job was one of the most satisfying positions I have had the privilege to hold. I am a go-getter who does not need to be micro-managed and I was given the opportunity to flourish. Being in on the beginning stages of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program was both exciting and challenging and I look forward to someday joining this team again.I joined this management team in the early stages of development. Together the initial cadre of 4 employees followed the CEO's guidance and established the Detachment from the ground floor up with the ultimate goal of providing multi-national, multi-service F-35 Operation Test and Evaluation. As the AFOTEC F-35 training lead, I co-authored the Test and Evaluation Master Plan and numerous reports on the F-35 Training Systems progress. I attended numerous critical design and program management reviews, small group tryouts and integrated program team meetings. Together, our team worked with Lockheed Martin, Partner Nations and our Sister Services to ensure the F-35 Training System would meet the needs of the pilots and maintenance technicians of the future. We also analyzed many other aspects of the F-35 like the utilization of ALIS as it integrated with legacy platforms and systems et al.Under the guidance of our CEO, I established all of the programs required to manage the company to include: Employee hiring/appraisals/feedback and recognition, Safety, Training, Administrative Support, Equal Opportunity, Facilities Development and much more. Again, this was an incredible opportunity to work with great partners like Lockheed Martin, Partner Nations and our Sister Services
