I enjoy challenging myself. A career in software development and IT should reflect the constant need to learn and adapt. In my current role as a DevOps Engineer I'm constantly utilizing new technologies and open source tools to reduce inefficiencies for developers and drive secure cloud practices. Some of my recent accomplishments in this role are as follows:--Deployed and configured Hashicorp Vault in order to provide secure secret storage/retreival for machine users/pipelines. Configs and Auth are managed via Terraform inside a Github Actions workflow.--Automated the build and push of our custom Docker images from a monorepo to DockerHub using Github Actions.--Deployed an open source Cloudwatch Metric exporter to give visibility into thousands of AWS objects across 10 accounts. Metrics were exported by Prometheus and we used Grafana to create AWS inventory dashboards.--Implemented self-hosted Github Actions runners using the Actions Runner Controller project. These runners also use Github webhook driven scaling, provisioning new runners automatically based on workflow runs.Previous Roles:I was a part of a team responsible for the support, maintenance and development of Oracle's E-Business Suite, specifically lease and financial management.I have supported the deployments of a dealer and internal user facing loan origination system. This system handles the collection of customer and transactional information, as well as pricing, credit scoring, document generation, and integrations with external systems.Responsibilities included:--Implementing business rules and policies--Deploying application Java code and property files--Deploying application configurations through SQL Updates/Inserts--Designing and implementing web services to both new and existing servicesPrior to this work effort, I spent over a year implementing Risk Management rules and policies for our organization's credit scoring interfaces. The primary tool used in this role was a Business Rules Management System (created by Fair Isaac Corporation) called FICO Blaze Advisor.
