I'm an experienced Conservation professional with over 17 years in the field of land conservation, stewardship, and ecological restoration. I currently supervise the Agricultural Preservation Restriction Program and State Owned Land Licensing Program for the Commonwealth of MA. These programs conserve farmland and make it accessible to farmers and beginning farmers at agricultural land value or through license agreements.Before coming to the Department I worked for an accredited regional land trust completing community driven conservation projects through planning, funding, project management, and ongoing land stewardship. My core interests are in creating livable communities by preserving the natural resources and ecological functions that sustain them. From urban planning and infrastructural needs to saving working farms that produce healthy food to restoring and preserving natural habitats, my work never loses sight of the interconnection of the triple bottom line (social, economic, environmental). Whether applied locally, regionally, or internationally, conservation is essential in meeting the challenges of our rapidly changing world. I find this incredibly inspiring and opportunity rich and it is what continues to motivate me.
