David Vich Comas is partner in the Litigation and Arbitration department at GARRIGUES.He has extensive expertise in advising on pre-litigation and litigation-related matters before an array of courts nationwide, as well as both domestic and international courts of arbitration. His areas of expertise include civil and commercial/corporate contracts, as well as tourism in general and the hotel industry in particular, advising numerous Spanish and international companies from the sector. In addition, in 2017 he was one of the recipients of the “40 under Forty” Award (Iberian Lawyer). Iberian Lawyer’s 40 under Forty Awards honor the leading 40 lawyers across Spain and Portugal under the age of 40. It has also been listed by the prestigious directory Best Lawyers List for Spain as one of the leading litigators in Spain, and recognized as "Lawyer of the Year 2021" in Litigation - Palma de Mallorca. Also, he has been recognized by Who's Who Legal as one of the world’s leading hospitality lawyer. David is also the head of the Tourism and Hotels industry at GARRIGUES, made up of a large group of professionals from all our offices and departments who provide 360º advice to companies in the tourism sector, also collaborating with sector associations in the organisation and selection of content for conferences dedicated to companies in this sector.He was associate lecturer in the Private Law department of Universitat de les Illes Balears (2007-2008 and 2008-2009).
