I served one year in Vietnam and spent the remaining 2 years at Fort Carson in Colorado. I worked at Bath Iron works for 3 years as a welder. I then worked as a welder with the Boiler Makers for 2 years. I then worked as a welder with a contractor for the Rumford Mill and was hired by the mill in 1980. I worked as a Millwright until 1997 when I took the position as an maintenance planned on the R-15 Paper Machine.
