I am Law Enforcement Professional with over 37 years of experience in a wide variety of areas, including Uniform Patrol, Traffic Enforcement, Narcotics Enforcement, Media Relations, Mounted Patrol and Internal Affairs. I have been certified in Mobile Radar, VASCAR, DUI Enforcement, DRE Training, Narcotics Enforcement, Undercover Operations, Surveillance Techniques, Thermography, Media Relations and as a Field Training Officer (FTO). I am also a musician (guitar, bagpipes & drums), vocalist, and former member of the Omaha Police Department Pipe & Drum Corps. During my public service career, I enlisted in the United States Navy Reserve. After completing initial training, I was assigned as a Master-At-Arms, attached to a Field Medical Unit. My responsibilities included force protection and perimeter security for medical personnel assigned to the field medical unit as well as their patients. I became certified in the use of the M-16 rifle, M-9 pistol, shotgun as well as other types of related equipment. Prior to my time as a law enforcement officer, I spent approximately six years in the construction industry, working in both building construction as well as heavy highway construction. I was involved / trained in the areas of carpentry, cement finishing, excavation and heavy equipment operation. I am a vocalist and have performed at a variety of venues and am able to vocalize in a variety of genres. In addition I am a National Anthem vocalist and have performed at both private and public venues, including both indoor and outdoor sporting events. I am very interested in expanding my experience in these areas, as well as utilizing my law enforcement experience and construction experience to expand my future career opportunities. I also enjoy hockey, baseball and golf and have coached hockey in the past.
