●Defined and agreed with the customer the acceptance criteria for a £250M project, including requirements capture, TEAP generation, V&V methods, design statements and performance levels.●Managed the production of, and technically authorised, 80 acceptance reports detailing the compliance evidence.●Presented the progressive acceptance case to the customer and gained acceptance of approximately 95% of all submissions at first attempt.●Managed the vehicle verification, validation and acceptance programme, achieving a high degree of compliance with the requirements and minimal non-compliances.

Managed the £12M development programme to design, develop, produce and integrate the prototype vehicle electrical and electronic sub systems for a £250M vehicle project.●Defined the project Vehicle Electronic Systems Group structure and established a team of 20+ engineers covering all engineering disciplines.●Managed the group, including financial management, scheduling, resource loading, work package definition, risk management and contract status reporting.●Developed the electronic systems architecture for the vehicle. This included CAN bus enabled command & control systems with embedded software, a smart power management system, surveillance systems, a remote control system and features to support future growth.●Defined the electronic system and sub-system requirements, selected suppliers and technically managed sub-contracts to the value of £21.2M.●Managed the in house development of bespoke, mission critical hardware and software, ensuring compliance with Def Stan 59-411, 00-250, 00-35, 00-56 and design review procedures.●Achieved integration of the electronic architecture into the vehicle in accordance with the project plans, thus permitting the commencement of vehicle design proving trials.

Managed the mobilisation of a £250M vehicle project. A rapid mobilisation phase was required to populate key posts, establish the required infrastructure and achieve project start-up in accordance with a tight project schedule.●Defined and agreed the mobilisation plan with the programme manager, site general manager and key department heads. Communicated the plan to all stakeholders and affected individuals.●Vetted CVs and performed down selection of external candidates for consideration by the programme management team.●Re organized the site, including the relocation of 200+ engineers to create space for the project. The re organization was successfully completed in less than the eight weeks allocated in the mobilisation plan, with minimal resistance from affected staff.

●Managed, at the direct request of the site general manager, the final year of a £6M hybrid electric military vehicle electronic systems development programme.●Delivered prototype hardware and software into the vehicle integration programme, including a turret hardware safety interlock unit, in accordance with the project plan.
