Profile bio

About David W.

I am a senior Human Resources (HR) explorer in the area of total rewards management with experience in small and large organizations. As a young lad, I was encouraged by my parents to live and learn. As we frequently moved across Canada, I learned to adapt to change and build new relationships, while exploring each new location. At the time, what I did not understand was why people had difficulty in dealing with change. As I have grown and learned to change, I realized being logical and analytical would help me become more adept at dealing with change and any related challenges. Over time, I have learned to embrace lifelong learning, which has prepared me to lead change and manage HR projects while effectively leading and developing people on an individual or team basis. I now work to create straightforward and practical HR approaches as well as workable and innovative HR solutions and concepts to support organizations.Through my copyrighted solutions, processes and efforts, people and organizations are able to develop a better understanding of effective, efficient and economical HR process and practices. My solutions involve creative organizational and total rewards in order to integrate compensation practices with other HR functions. I believe solutions must be unique for every organization and situation. The solution must also be simple and focused on people to allow them to "learn, grow and change!" One of the models I use is the Workforce Model of Organizational Development (MOOD). I also use the OSPM (Occupation Skills Profile Model). The use of these models and the associated frameworks and tools allow for better integration with other HR programs.
