I owned the vision, strategy, roadmap, functionality, profitability, and overall success of our cloud-managed routing platforms encompassing routers, LTE, and 5G cellular modems worldwide. I was responsible for the first enterprise LTE router in the world in 2010 and the first 5G routers in 2020 leading with every technology between from LTE-A and Gigabit LTE. I helped grow Cradlepoint from a 60-person startup with 1 product manager selling to consumers with <$20M in revenue and ~30% GM to the industry leader in managed LTE/5G wireless WAN routers for the enterprise with over 1,000 employees, multiple hundreds of millions in revenue, and GMs close to 70% with a $1.1B acquisition by Ericsson in Nov. 2020.I owned hardware platforms from idea board design concept, wrote the finalized product requirements, ran executive commits, collaborated during engineering builds, coordinated product launches, identified mid-life maintenance and refreshes, and managed end of life and replacements for dozens of routers.I worked with engineering to identify processors, Wi-Fi chipsets, and components from Qualcomm, Intel, Marvell, MediaTek, Broadcom and others.I spearheaded the creation of Cradlepoint’s first hardened mobile routers with market-specific hardware, software, security, certification, cellular modem, Wi-Fi, and cloud-management features that didn’t yet exist. We went from no hardened routers in 2014 to global market leader in LTE routers for mobile applications by 2020.I owned our LTE and 5G module roadmap for over a decade working with chipset vendors Qualcomm, Intel, Sierra, TELIT, Quectel, Thales, UBLOX, and others.I worked closely with engineers and UI/UX on initiatives for our AWS-hosted SAAS platform for visibility, management, and insights on our routers, modems, SIMs, clients, Wi-Fi, security, and OOBM.I made data-based decisions from customer behavior, financial metrics, and feedback through Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Pendo, and AI/ML tools.
